Description

{1} No archaeological features observed during watching brief. {3} Watching brief during construction of new activities room on south side of the YMCA. Foundation trenches up to a maximum of 1m deep were all cut into disturbed and made-up ground of recent origin. No evidence of the medieval defences, which must lie below the level of the construction works. UAD check 09.10.95
