Description

{1} In October 1970 archaeological features were discovered during the construction of Brickyard Spinney Road. The sites on either side of the road were destined for factory units and an exploratory excavation was mounted in April 1971. trial trenches were excavated and where features were encountered, the relvant areas between the trenches were stripped. During the road works for Pond Wood Close further features were noted and a second excavation was undertaken in June 1972.
