Summary

Roman pottery recovered during a fieldwalking survey. Dark soil and burnt stone also noted. A very few sherds of Saxon pottery too.

Full Description

{1} Settlement is indicated by a significant find scatter. Very dark areas with burnt stone, samian and colour-coated sherds. A few Saxon sherds also. Tufa, possibly natural. Most of Rushton was not searched for pre-Medieval sites.
