Summary

A modest single storey shoe factory built circa 1910 and consisting of two north-lit ranges set gable on to Allen Road to the north, probably formed the premises of the Allen Boot Company. The north front is largely concealed by modern render. Since the 1960s it has been part of a larger engineering works.

{1} Boot and Shoe Factory, Allen Road. Former boot and shoe factory. Very simple 2 bay structure with 2 north lights. Now 'Mark Groves house' utilised by a number of businesses. Film 7 photo 24,25.
