Summary
Nurrish, Nurrish & Pallett, Shirley Boot Co. Ltd., Johnson Haynes Ltd. A shoe factory dating from 1905, stands on the south side of Shirley Road and consists of a two-storey office front with a series of north-lit sheds to the rear. It appears to have been built by the firm of Nurrish, Nurrish and Pallet who before the First World War produced 'gentleman's smart footware' under the 'New Method' brand. Now demolished.

{1} Boot and Shoe factory, Shirley Street. Boot and shoe factory shown on map of 1926. Appears to be same structure still, but has been re-faced in late 1920's and 1930's. Now utilised by 'Johnson Haynes Press Knives Ltd' Film 16, photo 9,10.
