Full Description

{1} The Temperance Hall, Bridge Street, was erected in 1881. A cinema opened in the hall during the latter half of the First World War. The cinema was still in use in 1931. Wooden benches for sitting on and chairs at the back. Projection box in baclony, main hall lit by gas lamps. Projector was powered by generator at the back of the building. The building has since been demolished along with a number of other structures and has been replaced with modern buildings.
