Full Description
{1} There seems to be some doubt as to the siting of this park, but there is a Shipley Wood in Kelmarsh. In 1257 Simon de Montfort, Earl of Leicester, was given license to enclose his wood of Shyplegh within the forest of Northampton, and make a park thereof without a deer leap.
