Full Description

{1} Fieldwalking of the ploughed land to the south of the church located settlement evidence dating from the 11th-14th centuries on an ironstone knoll 140m to the south-west of the church. Medieval shelly & green glazed Stanion/Lyveden wares with a considerable amount of iron slag. Close by, but not apparently overlapping, was a scatter of Stamford wares. These sites were on an ironstone knoll which had been partly quarried away earlier this (20th) century. (0)
