Full Description

{1}Baptist Chapel, North End
Erected 1853. Stone built Baptist chapel - the building was used as a garage for car manufacturing from the 1920's. Victor Ashby had motor vehicle works in the old Baptist Chapel by 1921. Was helped by Sir Thomas Hesketh. In 1923 the business transferred to Manchester. The structure is currently in use by MJ Gowling Carpets and Flooring. Film 4, Photo 25. (1)
