Full Description

{1} Brewery. Rear of Market Place - west. 2 breweries- both located off plots to the rear of High Street, one to the east and the other to the west. Both have now gone. The one to the east of street was converted into accommodation for Bronnley's Soap Manufacturers in the 1950's, but has subsequently been demolished and a housing estate erected on the site. The site of the brewery to the west of the street is now occupied by the Co-op supermarket.
