National school
The national school was established in Brackley in 1818.The school was held in a converted barn and accommodated 72 pupils. The school was in decline by the 1840s The present building was erected in 1870, an infants school room was added in 1897.The building is an elaborate construction of stone and mock-timber framing and is extant today. The school is referred to in various documents as either the 'Bell Tower' or the 'Feed my lambs school'. The building is now used as offices. (1)
