Full Description

{1} The gasworks were erected in 1876 by C H Fifield who then sold them to Desborough Gas Light Company Limited . The gasworks were located on Gas Street. There are no surviving upstanding remains and the area is now a car park. The provision was extended in the early 20th century and an additional gasometer is shown on the Ordnance Survey map of 1926 located behind the infants' school this too has been demolished.
