Full Description

{1} The original Methodist chapel, which was celebrating an anniversary in 1817 , was situated on High Street (now Lower Street). The building has been demolished and a modern garage and a garden now occupy the site.

A new chapel was erected in Victoria Street in 1891 and was provided with a Sunday School in an adjacent building in 1896. Both structures are extant. The chapel is in use as a place of worship and is now owned by the Catholic Church; the Sunday school appears to be in use (presumably as a Catholic Sunday school.
