National School (Church of England)
The original National School was built in 1841 and run by the Reverend George Bugg until he left the parish in 1845 . Kelly's Trade Directory of 1894 indicates that 'The old National School' was rebuilt in 1894 and was being used by about 30 scholars This building survives today as a small stone structure (dated 1841) and is currently in use as a church or community school.
