Full Description
{1} Built with master's residence in 1878 and enlarged in 1891. 180 boys, 180 girls, 200 infants.
Enlarged again 1901 for 260 boys, 265 girls and 330 infants. The main school building is located on the plot of land between Union Street and Havelock Street and is still in use as a school today. The school was demolished and rebuilt using the same bricks in 1939. The infant's school, which is of early 20th century construction, was presumably part of the same development. Both schools are still in use today and do not appear to have radically altered.
