Full Description

{1} Volta Tower, Station Road. Lofty circular tower in mixed ironstone and limestone. Erected in 1863 in memory of William Mackworth-Dolben. The wing was later added. Now turned into a dwelling house. A Finedon Pageant. The Volta Tower collapsed on 16th November 1951 killing the current resident.

{2} Prominent local landmark built to the memory of a member of the Dolden family of Finedon Hall. Dismantled in the 1950s.
