Full Description
{1} Boot and Shoe Factory, Mill Road
Building has been demolished and a nursing home stands on its location.
{2} Henry Standley, built 1871 (datestone- H S/1871). The earliest dated shoe factory in the town. Later part of the Kettering boot and Shoe Manufacturing Company 1884. Three storey factory, at least 11 bay frontage on Albert Street, pier and panel construction; panels have semi-circular heads. The central entrance bay projects forward slightly and carried up to a gable. Enlarged in 1899 and 1908 by five bays.
