Building record 7198/56 - Former Kettering Co-operative Boot and Shoe Manufacturing Society factory, 53 Havelock St

A 3 storey red brick building with corner bay windows to 1st and 2nd storeys. Datestone of 1890 above the front door. Note the 'Hand in Hand' motif in stone below the bay window. The KCB&SMS moved to a new factory further down Havelock Street (demolished). Was used by a tailoring company in the latter half of the 20th century. Now used as a pine furniture warehouse

Clothing factory, Havelock Street
Clothing Factory on Havelock Street would appear to have been a co-operative society building with the mottos 'Hand in Hand' and 'Justice to all' inscribed on the elaborate corner frontage. The building is dated 1890. The structure is of three storeys and is now in use by 'Classic Homes'. Film 9, photo 23,24 (1)
