{1} Crown Brewery, Crown Works, Upper Field Street. Owned by the Elworthy family from late 19th century onwards until Marston, Thompson and Evershed acquired the premises in 1931. Frontage of 'Crown Works' - a long linear building leading off Upper Field Street - goes through to the back of the plot. Single storey construction. Now in use by R.D. Engineering.
