Summary

A two storey building formerly the mineral water factory of Miller and Childs who were in business from about 1903 until WWII. Besides using Codd bottles the firm also issued attractive yellow stone ginger beer bottles

Full Description

{1} Mineral water manufacturers, Wellington Street
Large building on Wellington Street has a painted sign on the side 'Miller and Childs Home of Minerals and Table Water'. The building has large, elaborate windows to the upper floor, but has been altered to ground floor. Film 10, photo 1.

{2} Built between 1899 and 1906. Two-storey industrial building on the west side of Wellington Street. Gabled east to west with a roof covered in modern tiles, the works has a gabled elevation with four windows on Wellington Street and a south elevation with two large windows on the first floor.
