Building record 7198/116 - Gladstone Shoe Works (Foster Bros)

A three storey boot and shoe works on the west side of Gladstone Street. This brick built works has a slate covered roof. Ordnance Survey maps and other sources, suggest that it was built circa 1880.

{2} Three storey former boot and shoe works, now converted to flats, was built c1880 on the west side of Gladstone Street. The eight-bay east front is framed by piers at either end. It is built of red brick with polychrome detailing. The windows have keystones and stone sills and segmental headed on the esecond floor, but have semi-circular heads elsewhere.
