Full Description

{1} A large industrial scale laundry in a two storey brick building with a tall chimney behind. Formerly the Co-op laundry it now trades as Society Linen.
The Co-operative Laundry on Addington Road estate provided many jobs, and many workers lived on the estate. Noble Avenue and Alexander Road were built by the Co-operative Society. The complex also had a canteen, which was used for many social events on the estate. The co-op laundry had a large chimney.
