{1} John White, Boot and Shoe Manufacturer
Started business in a workshop in Griffith Street, Rushden. Had head office and factory in Midland Road, Higham Ferrers. Also had a number of factories in Rushden. By 1940's was employing over 2,000 people.
{2} Two storey functional office block built in the 1930s as the headquarters for John White Footwear, now used by Frank Thomas Ltd.
{3} 'Beautiful offices' opened in 1936 by John White Footwear. Vacated Atlanta House site in mid 1980s. Subsequently taken over as offices and warehousing for Frank Thomas Ltd (motorcycle clothing manufacturing) who occupied the site until 2008. Since then has been unoccupied.
