Monument record 6292/1/1 - Higham Ferrers Railway Station

Site of railway station on the Higham Ferrers branch line, opened in 1893 and closed in 1969.

{1} Wellingborough and Higham Ferrers branch line of the Midland Railway. Opened for goods and mineral traffic on 1st September 1893. The station was in operation between 1893 and 1959. The line of the railway appears to remain largely intact, but the track has been removed. The land is currently lying unused. There are various industrial buildings in its immediate vicinity, but these all appear to be modern and the neither the goods shed, station and other buildings appear to survive.
