Gasworks
Higham Ferrers Gas and Coke Company was established in 1855 and amalgamated with Rushden in 1892. The original gas works was located in north end and was shown on Ordnance Survey map of 1884, by 1926 the site had been demolished and a shoe factory stood on the site. (1)
