{1} Cattle Market, London Road. Cattle market opened in 1880. Located to the south side of the town. The stone buildings on the corner of Bowling Green Road and Horse Market are still in existence with date stone 1880. The Corn Market Hall another stone building is also still standing and in some form of use as a public hall. The cattle market itself has however disappeared and Kettering Swiming Pool and a car park stand in its place. Film 2, photo 15, 19,20.
