Full Description

{1}Boot and shoe factory, Vernon Road
Hesketh boot and shoe factory constructed in Vernon Road along with 5 houses in Islington Road, built 1891. Factory expanded to employ about 200 men, but burnt down in 1921. The Towcester Boot Manufacturers Ltd rebuilt the works in 1922; known as the Phoenix Works.
