{1} Red Lion, Market Hill. An inn of this name is in existence in the town in 1784 . The Red Lion Public House stands on the corner of Market Hill / Bridge Street on the same as the building depicted on Ordnance Survey map of 1887, however the building was replaced in the early 20th century.
