{1} Tennis Ground/Football Ground
Tennis ground shown on 3rd edition Ordnance Survey map (1926). Located at the north end of the expanding town to the east of the newly established Oxford Street. The area has now been incorporated into the football ground and club.
Football ground shown on 3rd edition Ordnance Survey map (1926). A football ground and club still exists in this location, The Rothwellian, but the ground appears to have been substantially remodelled.
