Full Description

Old Dryden House, North Street
Large 3 storey structure with small winows to top floor. Late 18th / early 19th century in date. Had a former carraige arch. Building now houses Laxton Junior School. Was previously in use as Dolphin commercial hotel. Film 3, photo 24. (1)

{2}C18. 3 storeys in coursed rubble with Welsh slate roof. Good plinth. 5 windows to 1st and 2nd floors, moulded architraves, casements to top floor, glazing bars. Ground floor, original central entrance walled up and window inserted. Stone doorcase remains, pilasters and plain entablature, 1 window beyond. All the listed buildings on the east side of North Street form a group

{?} Originally built as a house. Extension (1661) was built-now number 12 North Street. 2 storeys and attics. Initials E.H. AND I.H. carved in porch. Later split from number 12 and became a public house.
