Full Description
{1} Infectious Diseases Hosptial, Stoke Road. Was located to the western extremity of the town, at some distance from the rest of the settlement. The hospital was not visited as part of the field visit, but modern map evidence would indicate that three of the buildings are still intact and appear to be used as domestic residences.
{3} Isolation Hospital, Stoke Doyle Road. Hostel for evacuees.
{4} Archaeological building recording was undertaken prior to the demolition of Arn Cottage. It was one of the Isolation Hospital buildings constructed in the late 19th century/early 20th century.
