Monument record 2416/0/449 - Former Totectors boot manufacturers, West Street (rear of)
Please read our guidance about the use of Northamptonshire Historic Environment Record data.
Summary
A small single storeyed shoe factory was erected to the rear of 64 West Street in the late 1920s or 1930s. It consists of three north-lit ranges with a structurally distinct but roughly contemporary flat-roofed office range to the north and a lean-to boiler house (with tall chimney) to the south. The walls are of Fletton bricks, with chamfered blue bricks capping the piers on the end walls and concrete lintels and copings. The corrugated asbestos roof covering is probably original.
