Summary

A former curriers and leather factory on south side of York Road. This 'L' plan factory was built in 1893 and has three brick-built storeys over a basement. In the middle of the 20th century it became a glove factory although it retained the unequal storey heights associated with leather factories. A conversion into flats in the late 20th century led to the demolition of the west range of the 'L' plan.

The original form of the building was as a rectangular-plan range. It was considerably enlarged in the early 20th centruy while still in its original use.
