Full Description

Foundry, Cambridge Road/Victoria Road/Midland Road
'Albion Foundry (Brass and Iron)' shown on Ordnance Survey maps of 1885 and 1900. A number of large buildings indicated on plot of land between Cambridge Road, Victoria Road and Midland Road. By 1926 these works were 'Albion Works (Engineering)', but one of the large buildings had gone. A number of the original buildings still survive and are in industrial usage, but others have been demolished. Number of industrial buildings fronting on to Cambridge Street which were possibly associated with this complex. (1)
