Full Description
{1} Brewery, Sheep Street. Large commercial brewery located on Sheep Street in close proximity to junction with London Road and Doddington Road. The structure has now gone and been replaced by a multi-storey car park.
There were two commercial breweries located in the town. William Dulley and John Woolston both had premises on Sheep Street. Brewing and malting of ale was a major industry in the town for many centuries. Dulley used spa water to create 'Redwell stout' - parts of the conduit he constructed from the well of the brewery survive.
