Full Description

{1} Industrial building / factory, Harrowden Road / Hatton Park Road
Factory building between Harrowden Road and Hatton Park Road - shown on maps merely as a large building. Structure still standing, but converted to 'Hatton Park Health and Fitness Club' .Film 22 photo 24-25, Film 23 photo 1.

{2} This 2-storey former boot and shoe factory was built in the late 1890s and was occupied by the Cheney family until at least WWII. The building was extended in 1933 and there is a datestone in the extension. The site contains a lot of empty space as if considerable expansion of the factory was envisages. The 1933 extension appears to have incorporated or replaced 2 smaller ranges extending into the yard from the east elevation and built between 1899 and 1924.
