The Volunteer Public House shown on corner of Midland Road / Victoria Street. Public house shown in this location since 1885. Has a number of outbuildings to the rear. (1);

{2} Landlord bandmaster at turn of 19th century; set of gate piers and outbuilding. In 1914 Drill Station for C Sqdn N'ants Yeomanry & base for E coy 4 Bn N'ants Regt.
