{1} Salvation Army officially established in Wellingborough on 1st November 1873 - initially held services in theatre in Mill Street, in the Corn Exchange or in a tent on Broad Green. The Hall was erected in Havelock Street in 1874 and was made from donated bricks and timber. Young People's Hall was located being the main building.The building is still extant and in use by the Salvation Army Wellingborough Corps. The small buildings behind the structure have been demolished.
