Full Description

{1} Skating rink shown in ground of Linden House on Midland Road on map of 1885, has gone by 1900.

{2} Skating rink shown on Ordnance Survey map of 1884 within the grounds of The Lindens (private house). The building was erected in 1878 and was used for a number of different purposes as well as just skating. The venture does not however appear to have been a commercial success. The building is not shown on the OS map of 1900 and had presumably been demolished by this time.
