Full Description
{1} Roman finds; fieldwalking by M Holmes.
{2} Fieldwalking revealed a concentration of Romano-British material.
{3} 327 sherds of Roman pottery were recovered. The majority was clustered in the northern half of the field where it forms two distinct concetrations, both associated with scatters of limestone and ironstone fragments. The denser of these may indicate the remains of a former house platform. A third, smaller concentration of Roman pottery and daub wsa found in the south west corner fo the field.
