Full Description

{1} A 'bridge' reported to have been found on Perkins Farm. It lies within the top soil stripped corridor a short distance south of the farmhouse. The putative bridge lies between the current watercourse and where the said course use to run. The 'bridge' southern is clearly defined, but its further extent north was not established. The clean sand and gravel fill of the channel contrasts markedly with the grey silt fill of the nearby Victorian filled -in stream. It suggests a good steay flow of water in the former. No finds were identified and the stone structure therefore remains undated. It is considered most likely to be a small bridge or less likely, the end of a leet or similar type of water course. (1)
