Full Description

Extensive stone quarrying occupies the whole of the southern part of the wood, known as The Warren (approx centre SP93959520). The latter occupies a north facing slope separated from the rest of the wood by a small stream. Quarrying extends right up to this and the southern stone walled boundary of The Warren. The quarries are irregular in form; some stone exposures visible. (1)0
