Full Description
{1} A small ironstone pit developed by the farmer John Judkins about 1852. The tramway connecting it to the canal is shown on the Corporation of the Sons of the Clergy map of 1853 publicising their iron ore reserves. Now a steep sided hollow alongside A5. Site enclosed. Letter 25/11/1999 with article and plans for NIAG Journal. Not published.
