Full Description
{1} The site of an extensive wharf opened in 1788, which was used to unload house-coal and stone from the Midlands, and salt from Cheshire. It was also an outlet for local agricultural products such as hay, straw and corn. Although much altered, one of several warehouses still survives.
{3} The roof of the surviving warehouse overhangs the canal.
