Full Description

{1} To the north-east of the dam is the former pump house. It consisted of three long brick buildings with ridge roofs and round topped cast-iron window frames together with a square brick chimney with stone top. This has been converted to a private dwelling and the walls are now rendered white. On the south side of the entrance to the site from the Cransley to Thorpe Malsor road is the former water work's superintendent's/engineer's house. T-shaped in plan, it is of red brick with stone details. The side of the T which faces the road has two fine stone window-bays with stone mullions on the ground floor. This also is now a private residence.
