Full Description

{1} Post medieval mill building, now disused; no other information given.

{2} Windmill with full set of sails is shown on the early C19th OS drawing.

{3} Although overgrown with foliage, the shell of this tower corn mill is at its original height of three storeys. Stone built with cement rendering and then tarred, much of the tar is flaking off. When at work it had one pair of sprung shuttered sails and the other pair had cloth covered common sails. By 1884 it was shown as 'Old Windmill' on the OS map, and now is in a ruinous condition.
