Full Description

{1} Buildings associated with the whip making business of Henry Sharp. One was originally a two storey stone, brick and some cob structure with a pantile roof, and is thought to have been built soon after 1833 when the making of whips in Flore expanded. Next to it is a single storey building dating from the third quarter of the 19th century, also part of the whip factory which by 1871 employed 10 people. From that date production declined, the last whips being made here a few years after WWI. Both buildings were re-roofed about 1866 following a fire, and are used for garage and storage.
