Monument record 6890/1/2 - Former Helmdon (Stratford and Midland Junction) station and goods shed

Site of railway station on the Northampton and Banbury Branch line, opened in 1872 and closed in 1951.

{1} The brick goods shed with small projecting wooden canopy is adjacent to the site of Helmdon station (opened 1871, closed 1951) on the Stratford and Midland Junction Railway. It is now part of a coach depot.

{3} Former SMJ goods shed. The red-brick goods shed, which has now lost its projecting wooden canopy, is on the site of Helmdon Station which was opened 1871 and closed in 1951. It is partially hidden from the road by other buildings on the site.
