Full Description

{1} Close to footpath which runs due west from Islip village and 200 yards east of byway from Woodford to Lowick. Brick ventilation chimney approximately 5m high and 2.5m diameter. Used to vent Islip Iron Co's Church Mine 30m below. The mine was worked between 1902 and 1947 and the workings spread under most of the hill occupied by Drayton Park
