{4}Earliest date c.1875. Shown on 1882 OS mapping. In 1893 identified as Worley & Co, Boot and Shoe manufacturers. Thomas Richardsons by 1906. Used as a tobacco warehouse in the 1930s, a wholesale chemical factors in 1940, a milk-float depot in the 1950s. In 1990 it was being used by T.K.Nibbs & Son as an invalid car repair garage.

In 1882 this small former boot and shoe factory consisted of two separate buildings around a yard. The 3-storey building at the rear of the yeard appears, from the front at least, to conform to a common pattern for a small show factory. On the west side of the yard is a 2-storey building with a lean-to roof; its east facing elevation is obscured by the later north-lit range built over that yard, but the 1882 map suggests that it was open-fronted originally. Some features of this site are unusual for a shoe factory. The adjoining house to the west, No.22, was occupied by F. Mallard and Co, boot and shoe manufacturers, in 1896 and has a longer than usual rear range.
